Accreditation

AACSB

RIT's E. Philip Saunders College of Business undergraduate and graduate programs are fully accredited by the AACSB Accredited CollegeAssociation to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), the premier accrediting organization for business schools. Only about one quarter of the institutions granting business degrees have received this accreditation.

The AACSB indicated the Saunders College of Business is "...undoubtedly one of the nation's leaders in bringing total quality principles to the university." These principles emphasize customer satisfaction, work productivity through teaming, and product and service excellence.

RIT is chartered by the legislature of the State of New York and accredited by The Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

Federation of Schools of Accountancy

Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA)The E. Philip Saunders College of Business is an affiliate member of the Federation of Schools of Accountancy (FSA). The FSA promotes "the development of high quality accredited programs of education for the accounting profession that lead to a graduate degree."

The FSA lists the following objectives:

  1. Promote the concept of accounting accreditation among students and employers as an indicator of quality.
  2. Educate and involve faculty in accreditation issues.
  3. Assist schools in achieving and maintaining accredited graduate accounting programs.
  4. Be a leader in shaping accreditation standards and processes.
  5. Administer the FSA in a manner that helps the organization focus on its mission.
