Admissions & Financial Aid
Admission to RIT's graduate business programs is granted to qualified applicants who show high potential for success. RIT's vision is to educate students to achieve personal and professional success over their lifetimes. In evaluating an application,
the graduate admissions committee pays careful attention to each individual's undergraduate academic record, GMAT score, resume and personal statement.
Applications are accepted for all four academic quarters and can be completed online. However, most full-time students begin their program of study in the fall.
Pre-requisites for admission include a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, a working knowledge of algebra and statistics and basic computer literacy.
All new students are required to attend an orientation session prior to enrolling in courses. Graduate advisors assist students with course selection, career planning and program planning at this time. Students are also administered a graduate math exam to determine the level of algebra and statistics knowledge. A non-credit graduate math review course is offered for those students needing to update their algebra and statistics skills.
Students, not requiring a U.S. visa, may attend two graduate classes on a non-matriculated basis. These students are not officially accepted into the MBA program but may gain admission by completing the formal application process.
International applicants must submit official transcripts of undergraduate/graduate study in original form, and if not originally in English, an official, certified copy of transcripts translated into English. In addition, results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must be submitted as part of the application process.
